Steps to download Joomla. This assumes you need to download Joomla rather than having it installed for you by your ISP site host. HostRocket provides the "Fantastico" script to install Joomla in 10 seconds and without any work on your part to create a database or install Joomla.

But if you need to do it manually, then this article is the first step.

First you go to the following page and find the latest stable version. They list a lot of obsolete versions and generally one that is stable. You can also get the documentation here.

Once you find it, click on it and you are taken to the second page where you select the version for you system.

Download the Full Stable version
If you personal computer is Windows, then get the Zip file.
